Declaration of the Palestinian Communist Party for the New Year

Greetings, honor and pride to our Palestinian Arab people on the eve of entering the new year.

Our Arab Palestinian people have concluded the year 2023, which was filled with pain, sorrow, immense suffering, and loss. We lost loved ones, friends, neighbors, and comrades. It was an unparalleled year of destruction, killings, atrocities, genocide, and ethnic cleansing. The enemy’s ruthless actions targeted all aspects of life—homes, schools, hospitals, churches, mosques, communication networks, water, and sanitation systems. This fascist enemy destroyed all sectors from agriculture to industry and health in the Gaza Strip, rendering it uninhabitable. Despite all the crimes and massacres committed against our people in Gaza, it only reinforced our people’s determination to cling to their land.

All these heinous and documented crimes were aimed at overshadowing the pivotal October 7 operation. During this operation, the Palestinian resistance managed a significant strike at this occupying entity. The October 7 operation resulted in significant strikes:

1. It shattered the myth of a haven for Zionist Jews worldwide, where Zionist capital and its connection to global imperialism could find safety and prosperity.
2. It struck a heavy blow at the Zionist army, once hailed as the strongest in the region, irreversibly diminishing its prestige.
3. It delivered a powerful blow to the settlement project and the effort to empty the land of its inhabitants, particularly in the West Bank. The October 7 attack showed that such attacks could be replicated in the West Bank in various forms. Thus, we witnessed Zionist hysteria, arming settlers, and daily incursions by the fascist occupation forces into Palestinian villages, camps, and cities. The specific operation of October 7 opened the way for qualitative resistance operations against this occupier throughout the entire occupied Palestinian geography.
4. The October 7 operation reaffirmed the Palestinian cause as a major issue, imposed on the international stage, and nullified all the achievements of the occupation in marginalizing and liquidating the Palestinian cause.
5. The October 7 operation struck a strong blow against all normalization plans with the crumbling Arab regimes aligned with American imperialism, exposing Israel’s ugly face to the Arab peoples. Despite all these bloody actions and Zionist brutality, it ultimately led to a major moral defeat for this entity. It claimed to be an oasis of democracy in the region with an army claiming ethical standards—claims that are, of course, baseless. All these ongoing and continuing crimes will ultimately isolate this entity internationally, turning it into the only criminal and fascist state in the world. All of this serves the interests of our national cause, the path to liberation, and the construction of an independent secular Palestinian state on the entire national soil, with its capital, unified Jerusalem, a state for all its inhabitants.

To achieve this goal, Palestinians must:

1. End the despicable Palestinian division and restructure the Palestine Liberation Organization based on revolutionary national principles, including all national action factions.
2. Abandon the illusions of peace with this occupier and free ourselves from the Oslo Accords and security coordination agreements.
3. Adopt a clear resistance strategy whose main goal is to defeat the occupation fundamentally and not fall for the delusions propagated by the West as just solutions to the Palestinian issue.
4. Strengthen our ties with the free world and the Axis of Resistance, who have proven their support for our cause and delivered strong blows to the Zionist enemy and its supporters. What is happening in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria is the greatest proof of that.

As we enter the new year, we hope that the sun of freedom and hope shines upon our people, that we can remove this fascist occupation from our land, and that every member of our people can live in peace, freedom, security, and enjoy the justice our people have waited for over 75 years. They should live peacefully and with dignity on their land.
