Der jüngste militärische Konflikt zwischen Indien und Pakistan hat die Front des Kalten Krieges, die oft als die gefährlichste internationale Grenze der Welt bezeichnet wird, wieder neu entfacht. Der kurze, aber schnell eskalierende Konflikt brachte einige weitreichende geopolitische Veränderungen ans Tageslicht, darunter die stärkere wirtschaftliche und militärische Annäherung Chinas und Pakistans, die zunehmende Isolierung Indiens in seiner Nachbarschaft und die verstärkten Bemühungen des US-geführten Imperialismus, Instabilität in der Region zu schaffen. 

Wie hat sich der Konflikt entwickelt und welche Seite hatte die Oberhand? Was steckt hinter der verstärkten militärischen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Pakistan und China? Was ist die langfristige Strategie der USA in der Region? Wie geht es weiter mit dem indischen Subkontinent?

The recent military conflict between India and Pakistan once again reignited the cold war front often referred to as the most dangerous international boundary in the world. The short but fast escalating conflict brought to surface certain far reaching geo-political shifts including the greater economic and military assimilation of China and Pakistan, increased isolation of India in its neighborhood, and the intensifying efforts of US led imperialism to create instability in the region. 

How did the conflict develop and which side had an upper hand? What’s behind increased military cooperation between Pakistan and China? What is the long term strategy of US in the region? What’s ahead for the Indian subcontinent?
