Hands off Samidoun and PFLP!

The ruling class in Germany is apparently about to take the next step in its criminalisation of the Palestinian liberation movement in the diaspora. After a political and media witch-hunt against the comrades of Samidoun has been going on for some time and the organisation’s actions have been repeatedly banned by the repressive authorities, Samidoun itself could now apparently be banned: The German-Israeli Society (DIG) announced on June 7th that it had filed charges against Samidoun „on suspicion of criminal acts of support according to § 129b StGB“. In addition, the DIG is calling on Berlin’s Senator of the Interior, Spranger (SPD), to „campaign for a ban on Samidoun and PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) associations.“ⁱ

We declare again: we stand behind Samidoun and condemn the state-run anti-Palestinian racism and the criminalisation of the Palestinian liberation movement! We also condemn once again the criminalisation of the resistance of the peoples of the Middle East against Israeli colonialism and Western imperialism! This resistance, supported by broad sections of the people in various countries, is an expression of the Arab peoples‘ aspiration for independence from Western imperialism and is therefore completely legitimate and to be supported.

The PFLP is already criminalised in Germany and is listed by the EU as a “terror Organization“. In reality, it is an important part of the liberation movement of the Palestinian people, and in this it is one of the most progressive parts of this movement, ranging from Marxist actors, such as the Popular Front, to Islamic organisations. It is the duty of all internationalist, anti-imperialist and pro-Palestinian forces to condemn these attacks on the Palestinian resistance and to show solidarity!

Stop the propaganda against Palestinians – solidarity with the Palestinian liberation movement!

Stop the criminalisation of resistance: abolish terror lists! Remove the paragraphs 129 a and b!
