Stop the zionist aggression – Solidarity with Iran!

Last night Israel began to strike Iran: The Zionist Regime bombed over a 100 targets, military sites and civilian energy infrastructure and also residential buildings in the capital Tehran. So far, 78 people have been reported dead and over 300 injured. Among those killed are several physicists and high-ranking military officers. Throughout the day, there were further israeli attacks in various parts of the country. Tehran International Airport was also hit.Without the green light from Washington, such an attack would be impossible. The German government was also informed and the German security cabinet has convened. It has not yet been determined whether this attack is “only” about exerting pressure to persuade Tehran to give in during the negotiations with Washington on Sunday, or whether this is the prelude to a full-scale war of aggression against Iran, as per the wishes of the Zionist leadership.
Iran has the right to self-defense!
Even though Iran has never been directly colonized, the country has always found itself under the direct or indirect control of imperialism. Since the Western-backed monarchist Shah regime was overthrown in 1979, Iran has been subjected to: wars of aggression by its neighbours, threats of war by the USA and Israel, Western sanctions, Zionist terrorist attacks and assassinations, as well as provocations, attempts at subversion and foreign-backed coup attempts.
The West’s main line of argument is the claim that Iran is seeking to build a nuclear weapon and will try to carry out the nuclear annihilation of Israel. Under this pretext, Tehran has repeatedly been openly threatened with war. Massive sanctions against Iran have been imposed and numerous Iranian physicists have been murdered by the Mossad. Today’s aggression is likewise taking place against the backdrop of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the USA and aims to officially destroy Iran’s nuclear program.
All of this is merely propaganda: while Israel itself has been known to possess a nuclear bomb for decades, albeit unofficially and in violation of international law. Not only does Iran not have any nuclear weapons , It also rejects them as un-Islamic in accordance with a religious decree by the Revolutionary Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Not only that, but for years it has placed itself under the strict supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
As was the case after the Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria and after the assassination of the political leader and top diplomat of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, Iran now also has the right to defend itself militarily against this aggression. The German Foreign Office now scrambling to condemn a military response by Iran, while at the same time emphasizing that Israel has the right to bomb Iran, the Federal Republic of Germany is once again in violation of international law with its “Staatsräson” (“reason of state”), – just as it has been doing for 20 months with its support for the genocide in Gaza.
The Islamic Republic must be defended!
The Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) emerged from an anti-imperialist people’s revolution in 1979, which had the backing of communist, left-wing and Islamic forces. This revolution brought – despite all the contradictions – numerous social and democratic achievements. These had to be defended from the very outset against external enemies and domestic counter-revolutionaries: Alongside the aggression from abroad and the activities of liberal, monarchist and separatist forces, the socio-economic achievements of the revolution were not only continuously dismantled. Iranian capitalism has also given rise to a new comprador class which, in the interests of its power and profits, wants to wrest the country away from its anti-imperialist course and subordinate it to the West.
So, as the Islamic Republic is currently being attacked militarily from the outside by Israel and with the support of the West, there can be no talk of a united front in the state leadership and the ruling class. The hope rests on those sections of the political leadership and the people’s masses who want to continue the anti-imperialist course. A war against Iran, as well as an overthrow initiated from outside, would only bring one thing to the people of Iran: Chaos, destruction, misery, balkanization and subjugation to imperialism.
But this is not just about Iran as such: The IRI is the only regional power in the Middle and Near East that stands up to the imperialist West. And as such, it is also the most important friend and ally of the Palestinian people: All of their military know-how and equipment – above all missiles and tunnels – and by far the majority of the money the Palestinian factions have come from Tehran. Even the two most important relief frontlines after October 7, Lebanon and Yemen, simply would not be conceivable without Iran. The value of material aid provided by Iran becomes all the clearer when compared with the treachery of almost all governments in North Africa and West Asia – from Morocco to Egypt and the Gulf states to Turkey and the Jolani regime in Syria. It is precisely this concrete anti-imperialist solidarity – even more so than the desire for economic exploitation of Iran itself – that is the main motivation for the Zionist regime to regard the Islamic Republic as its main enemy and for the West to destroy it.
In the interest of the peoples of Iran, the Palestinian people and the peoples of the entire region in their struggle against Zionist colonialism and imperialism, it is our duty as internationalists, as friends of peace and as people in solidarity with Palestine to fight with all our strength against this new aggression and to put an end to it!
Solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran!
Stop the war of aggression – end the sanctions!
Down with Zionism and imperialism!
Up international solidarity!
